A motorcyclist died Saturday in a crash on Pacific Coast Highway in Malibu.
The crash occurred on PCH north of Mulholland Highway, near Leo Carrillo State Beach, according to the California Highway Patrol.
It was reported at 4:19 p.m., CHP Officer Elizabeth Kravig said.
It appears the victim was a man, CHP Officer Stephan Brandt said. His identity was withheld pending notification of next of kin.
Los Angeles County firefighters arrived at the scene but could not help the motorcyclist and waited for the coroner to arrive, said Dispatch Supervisor Michael Pittman.
