A Los Angeles Police Department officer was injured in a crash on the San Diego (405) Freeway in Los Angeles Friday.
The crash occurred at about 3:10 p.m. on the southbound freeway near Wilshire Boulevard, according to the California Highway Patrol.
The officer was taken to a hospital, but the Los Angeles Fire Department could not immediately comment on the officer’s condition. However, reports from the scene indicated the victim was conscious and talking when transported.
No other injuries were immediately reported in the collision.
The Wilshire Boulevard on-ramp to the southbound freeway was closed for at least one hour following the collision as authorities investigated.
