A fire damaged a vacant house in Koreatown Friday and left two firefighters with minor injuries.

The fire was reported at a two-story house in the 900 block of South Fedora Street about 10:50 a.m., the Los Angeles Fire Department reported.

More than 100 firefighters were sent to the scene, and were deployed in both an offensive mode and a defensive mode, working to douse the flames and prevent them from spreading to other structures, the LAFD reported.

The fire was extinguished in 52 minutes, said Brian Humphrey of the the LAFD.

“Two firefighters briefly sought on-site medical attention for minor injuries,” Humphrey said. “No hospital care was required, and they will remain active in emergency operations at the scene.”

The cause of the fire was under investigation.
