Firefighters extinguished a heavy fire Sunday evening inside a vacant former childcare/educational facility in Koreatown.
The blaze inside the two-story, 3,422-square-foot building at 989 St. Andrews Place was reported at 8:40 p.m., according to Los Angeles Fire Department spokesman Nicholas Prange.
The department dispatched 36 firefighters to the blaze and knocked down the flames in 18 minutes.
No injuries were reported, Prange said. The cause of the fire remained investigation.
