A man was killed and a person was injured early Monday morning when a car went off a Glenn Anderson (105) Freeway ramp in Lynwood and rolled multiple times down an embankment.

The crash was reported at 1:15 a.m. on the Long Beach Boulevard ramp from the eastbound Glenn Anderson Freeway, according to the California Highway Patrol.

The car was described as a gray four-door BMW and the BMW Emergency Center told the CHP the vehicle’s emergency signal indicated it rolled over multiple times deploying airbags, and that there were two people inside.

Los Angeles County Fire Department Dispatch Supervisor Martin Rangel told City News Service paramedics pronounced one person dead at the scene and took one person to a hospital for treatment of traumatic injuries.

The names of the deceased and injured people were not released and the age and gender of the hospitalized person were not available.

Caltrans crews were summoned to the scene to repair damage to a concrete barrier and guardrail, the CHP said.
