Authorities Wednesday took a woman into custody who had been barricaded overnight in Cudahy, concluding the standoff “peacefully.”
Deputies went to the 5200 block of Live Oak Street about 9:40 p.m. Tuesday, the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department reported.
Personnel from the sheriff’s Special Enforcement Bureau were sent to the scene, and crisis negotiators worked throughout the night to convince the woman to surrender. Shortly after noon Wednesday, the sheriff’s department reported that “the incident has concluded peacefully.”
“The suspect surrendered and was taken into custody without further incident,” a sheriff’s department statement said. Other details were not released.
