A one-acre brush fire possibly sparked by a vehicle that crashed prompted closure of some freeway transition roads in the Pomona area Tuesday.
The fire was reported at about 12:25 p.m. near the interchange of the San Bernardino (10) Freeway and the Orange (57) Freeway, according to the California Highway Patrol.
Firefighters stopped the forward progress of the flames in about an hour, and some crews remained in the area to douse hot spots.
Paramedics sent to the scene on a report of a vehicle crash transported two people for hospital treatment in unknown condition, the Los Angeles County Fire Department reported.
Some lanes remained blocked to accommodate firefighting apparatus.
