One Year Ago Today (September 9, 2021)…Two cousins were convicted of pimping and sexually assaulting two women in Ontario and Anaheim.

Anthony Larue Jackson Jr., 40, and Marqesah Troycine Fox, 35, were convicted of multiple felonies, but jurors deadlocked on multiple counts for both defendants so a mistrial was declared on the remaining counts.

Prosecutors alleged in a trial brief that one victim was abducted from a bus stop Oct. 23 and the other was picked up walking in Ontario Nov. 3 after she was stranded at the airport by a friend.

Police were dispatched to the Travelodge motel at 2060 S. Harbor Blvd. in Anaheim on Nov. 4 after one of the women escaped and another stayed on scene and called police, according to prosecutors.

After picking up the woman who had been stranded at the airport they took her to their motel in Ontario where they beat her and forced her into prostitution, prosecutors alleged. She said she had come from Nevada to California.

Jackson and Fox offered to let her call family in Nevada to help her get back home, prosecutors said.

But when they arrived at the motel Jackson slapped her and declared he was going to be her “pimp daddy,” prosecutors alleged. When she refused he put a gun in her mouth and threatened to kill her and her children, prosecutors alleged.

She was next ordered to get on the bed and when she refused both defendants attacked her and Jackson raped her, prosecutors alleged. Then Fox gave the woman black lingerie and Jackson took photos of her to use in prostitution ads, prosecutors alleged.

The woman was forced to engage in prostitution with four men, earing $2,000 for the alleged pimps, prosecutors said.

Both women were kept under the bed for hours with one of them having to urinate on herself because she wasn’t allowed to go to the bathroom, prosecutors said. At one point when they said they were hungry a box of Cheerios was tossed to them, prosecutors said.

When the four went out for a drive at one point and one of the women tried to flee she was smashed in the face with a wine bottle, prosecutors said.

On Nov. 3, the four checked into the Travelodge, prosecutors said. They went to Venice and after they returned Jackson and Fox had sex and forced one of the women to orally copulate Fox, prosecutors alleged.

While Fox was showering, Jackson forced one of the woman to perform oral sex on him, but when Fox got out of the shower she appeared jealous and a fight ensued, prosecutors alleged.

It was at that point the two victims ran and police were called, prosecutors said.

Fox was convicted of two counts each of human trafficking, pimping and pandering, and one count each of assault with a deadly weapon and forcible rape in concert, all felonies, according to court records.

Jurors deadlocked on a count of forcible oral copulation.

Jackson was convicted of single felony counts each of human trafficking, pimping, pandering, forcible oral copulation, assault with a firearm and kidnapping.

Jurors deadlocked on three counts of rape, two counts of forcible oral copulation and single counts each of sodomy by force, forcible rape in concert, human trafficking, pimping, pandering, all felonies.

The two are scheduled for sentencing on Oct. 1 and a pretrial hearing on the remaining counts Oct. 25.
