The American Red Cross assisted the occupants of an RV/trailer fire that was extinguished by firefighters in Cactus City Friday.

Firefighters responded around 10:10 a.m. Friday to a report of a vehicle fire at the Cactus City Rest Area on Eastbound Interstate 10, according to the Riverside County Fire Department.

Fire officials said that an RV/Trailer was partially involved.

The fire was contained by 11 a.m. and fire crews remained on scene for about an hour for mop up, according to fire officials.

The American Red Cross responded to the scene to help the occupants of the RV/trailer.

No injuries were reported, and the cause of the fire was unknown.
