A 9-month-old baby was airlifted to a hospital for evaluation after suffering a bout of not breathing Saturday morning at a home in Lancaster, authorities said.

Deputies were dispatched at 8:21 a.m. to a home in the 44000 block of Palm Lane, in response to a call of a 9-month-old baby who was not breathing, according to a watch commander at the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department’s Lancaster station.

The child had resumed breathing prior to the arrival of deputies, but was airlifted to Children’s Hospital Los Angeles for evaluation, he said.
