Fire Thursday damaged a four-story apartment building under construction in the Westlake community of Los Angeles.
Firefighters dispatched at 10:26 a.m. to 2121 James M. Wood Blvd. had the blaze out within 26 minutes of their arrival, the Los Angeles Fire Department reported.
“The unit of the third floor was under construction (pipe sweating operation) and the fire extended into the pipe alley,” said Margaret Stewart of the Los Angeles Fire Department. “Firefighters opened the walls to chase the fire and confirm the path of travel did not extend up into the attic.”
No injuries were reported.
