A woman was arrested on suspicion of attempting to murder a man in Menifee, authorities said Saturday.
Officers from the Menifee Police Department responded to the 29000 block of Farbo Court at around 6:20 p.m. Friday to a report of a man who said he had been shot in the arm.
They located the suspect, Jobana Machuca, near the residence and she was detained.
Officers and Cal Fire Riverside personnel also located the man inside the residence “suffering from a single gunshot wound to the left side of his upper torso,” reported the Menifee Police Department. That man was rushed to a hospital with stable vital signs, authorities said.
Detectives found that the man and woman knew each other, and it was an isolated incident, officials said. Machuca was arrested on suspicion of several felony charges including attempted murder.
