The bodies of a man and woman believed to have been slain by a Temecula man were found Thursday in an unincorporated area near Hemet.

Angel Ponce, a 31-year-old man from Escondido, was reported missing by family members Feb. 18, according to Sgt. Steve Brosche of the Riverside County Sheriff’s Department. The family of 31-year-old Danielle Ricker of Temecula reported her missing on Feb. 23, Brosche said.

Investigators from the sheriff’s Central Homicide Unit responded to the Southwest Sheriff’s Station at 4 p.m. Sunday where they learned of a report of two missing people who were presumed dead, Brosche said.

Investigators served a search warrant at the home of David Alan Floyd in the 34000 block of Galleron Street in Temecula Monday, then arrested him on suspicion of killing Ponce and Ricker, Brosche said.

Ponce and Ricker lived at the same residence in Temecula. It’s unclear how the two were acquainted.

The remains of Ponce and Ricker were found near the area of East Benton Road and Sage Road, Brosche said.

Anyone with information regarding the killings of Ponce and Ricker was encouraged to call Investigator Deanne of the Central Homicide Unit at 951-955-2777.
