A suspect who allegedly led deputies on a chase in the south Los Angeles area Friday was arrested after a standoff.
The brief chase led to the area of Main and 107th streets, where authorities forced the vehicle to stop at about 12:30 p.m., the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department reported.
Traffic was routed away from the area as the standoff continued early Friday afternoon. Sheriff’s officials confirmed to City News Service shortly after 2 p.m. that the suspect was arrested, but no further information was immediately available.
The motorist was wanted in connection with an arson investigation, according to KTLA5.
