The Los Angeles Chargers will hold Youth & High School Football Day at their training camp in Costa Mesa Monday, with players wearing their jerseys having the opportunity to enter a drawing for tickets to the Aug. 18 preseason game against the New Orleans Saints.

The practice is scheduled to run from 10 a.m.-noon at the Jack Hammett Sports Complex.

Fans may pre-register for free training camp tickets at or register at the entrance to the complex. All bleacher seating is available on a first-come, first-served basis.

The Chargers announced Sunday receivers Dylan Cantrell and Fred Trevillion were waived/injured and receivers Malachi Dupre and Jordan Smallwood were signed.

The Chargers selected Cantrell in the sixth round of the 2018 NFL draft from Texas Tech. He spent most of the season on the practice squad and never played in a regular-season game. Trevillion was an undrafted rookie from San Diego State.

If Cantrell and Trevillion are unclaimed on waivers, as is expected, they will go to the injured reserve list.

Dupre was chosen in the seventh round of the 2017 draft by the Green Bay Packers and played one game for the Arizona Cardinals in 2018, but did not catch a pass.

Smallwood spent the 2018 season on the San Francisco 49ers practice squad.
