The 31st annual Palm Springs International Film Festival will wrap up Sunday with the U.S. premiere of “Military Wives.”

Kristin Scott Thomas and Sharon Horgan star in the film about the wives of deployed British soldiers who find joy in singing in with the base choir.

The film was inspired by the BBC series “The Choir” and is directed by Peter Cattaneo, who was nominated for an Oscar for directing “The Full Monty” in 1997.

The Closing Night Gala concludes with a reception afterward at the Hilton Palm Springs.

“Military Wives” will be screened at 6:30 p.m. at Richards Center for the Arts, Palm Springs High School, 2401 E. Baristo Road.
