The Los Angeles County Board of Supervisors on Tuesday renewed a $10,000 reward for information leading to whoever fatally shot a 19-year-old man and wounded two other men in Long Beach last year.
Sidney Wallace Jr. died at the scene of the March 28, 2013, shooting in the rear parking lot of an apartment complex in the 200 block of East Hill Street. Wallace’s 37-year-old cousin and another man, 49, were also shot, but survived.
Supervisor Don Knabe recommended extending the reward, which will now be available for at least the next 90 days.
Police said they are looking for at least two shooters. Though several witnesses reported hearing shots, no one has come forward with a description of the gunmen.
Wallace, who was not a gang member, was shot several times, according to police.
Anyone with information was asked to call Long Beach police Detectives Greg Krabbe or Mark McGuire at (562) 570-7244.
