Donald Trump’s “Miss Piggy,” the Miss Universe who says she saw a “lot of psychologists” to combat Trump’s fat-based insults, was the Republican candidate’s target again Tuesday despite his being scolded during the debate with Hillary Clinton.
On “Fox and Friends,” Trump in a call-in said: “That person was a Miss Universe person, and she was the worst we ever had, the worst, the absolute worst. She was the winner and, you know, she gained a massive amount of weight, and it was a real problem.”
After recalling that Trump called the winner of his pageant “Miss Piggy” and “Miss Housekeeping” as a Latina reference, Clinton Monday night in the debate told Trump: “Donald, she has a name: Her name is Alicia Machado.”
In May, the native Venezuelan 1996 contest winner told The New York Times: “I was sick — anorexia and bulimia for five years. I was 18. My personality wasn’t created yet. I was just a girl.”
She said Trump also called her “Miss Eating Machine.” And in the wake of his fat-shaming, Machado said: “Over the past 20 years, I’ve gone to a lot of psychologists to combat this.”
Trump owned the Miss Universe contest.
Machado hopes to have the last word on Nov. 8, however. She became a U.S. citizen and can now vote.
“Miss Housekeeping and miss Piggy Can Vote @realdonaldtrump [sic],” Machado wrote on Instagram.
