According to Nielsen stats for the first episode of the E! documentary series on Bruce Jenner’s journey to womanhood, 2.73 million people tuned in.

Curiously, Caitlyn Jenner’s Twitter feed had almost the exact same number of followers — 2.74 million — despite only 25 tweets as of Tuesday morning. Her first were June 1, when she shared her Vanity Fair cover photo and said:

“I’m so happy after such a long struggle to be living my true self. Welcome to the world Caitlyn. Can’t wait for you to get to know her/me.”

More than half watching Sunday’s reality show were adults 18-49, according to The Hollywood Reporter.

“Next week’s episode will be the real tell-all though, to see if viewers stay tuned for Caitlyn’s journey,” the Reporter said. “The series has a shorter run than a typical ‘Kardashians’ season, with only seven episodes set to air this summer.”
