“Til it happens to you,” Lady Gaga’s new song about campus rape, serves as the backdrop to a graphic black-and-white video that includes scenes of assault, depression and victims overcoming shame.
We hope u feel our love&solidarity through the song & perhaps find some peace in knowing u r not alone through this film #TilItHappensToYou

Catherine Hardwicke of “Twilight” and “Lords of Dogtown” directed the video, which opens with scenes of assault and ends with messages of hope — including “I love myself” and “I am worthy” — etched on forearms.
“A portion of proceeds from the sale of the song will be donated to organizations helping survivors of sexual assault,” says the YouTube description.
The video calls for comments on a Facebook page and shares the toll-free number of the National Sexual Assault Hotline.
