Stephen Hawking shatters world of fan in reddit Q&A: one-word reply

Renowned science seer Stephen Hawking enjoyed a reddit AMA (Ask Me Anything), but he must have rocked the universe of one inquisitor.

QUESTION: Professor Hawking, in 1995 I was at a video rental store in Cambridge. My parents left myself and my brother sitting on a bench watching a TV playing Wayne’s World 2. (We were on vacation from Canada.) Your nurse wheeled you up and we all watched about 5 minutes of that movie together. My father, seeing this, insisted on renting the movie since if it was good enough for you it must be good enough for us. Any chance you remember seeing Wayne’s World 2?

ANSWER: NO

Oh well. At least, the author of “A Brief History of Time” had moments to give longer replies to others, mostly about artificial intelligence and robots.

“This AMA has been a bit of an experiment, and the response from reddit was tremendous,” the comment site said. “Professor Hawking was overwhelmed by the interest, but has answered as many as he could with the important work he has been up to.”
