ABC Family announced it has ordered a fifth season of “Switched at Birth,” giving the award-winning family drama a milestone 100 episodes.

“Every season ‘Switched at Birth’ continues to deliver fresh, relatable storylines that tackle important social issues, reflecting what our audience experiences daily,” ABC Family Executive Vice President, Programming and Development Karey Burke said Wednesday.

“Switched at Birth” has been honored with a Peabody Award, a Television Critics Association Award for outstanding achievement in youth programming and an Imagen Award for best primetime program.
