Lance Armstrong better not cheat. And we’re not talking about performance-enhancing drugs.
The stripped-of-biking-titles Tour de France icon announced on social media Tuesday that he was engaged to marry his longtime girlfriend Anna Hansen — the mother of two of his children.
“She said….. YES!!!!” Armstrong said via Instagram in photo of the pair taken on a boat in Lake Austin in Texas.
The New York Daily News noted: “Before Hansen, Armstrong was married to Kristin Richard from 1998 to 2003, and later engaged to country singer Sheryl Crow for five months before calling things off in 2006.
“He detailed his split from Crow during an appearance on Howard Stern’s SiriusXM radio show this past March.
“It was a good ride. She’s a great lady. Obviously it didn’t work out, but I think and I hope she’s happy,” Armstrong told Stern. “She wanted marriage, she wanted children; and not that I didn’t want that, but I didn’t want that at that time because I had just gotten out of a marriage, I’d just had kids.”
Now Armstrong, 45, has two kids by Anna — 7-year-old son Max and 6-year-old daughter Olivia — and three from his earlier marriage.
