The Hollywood Reporter said the “Pulp Fiction” and “Kill Bill” director “is quietly starting to put together his latest project, and is talking to A-list actors for what is promising to be a unique take on the Manson Family murders.”
Tarantino, writing the script, supposedly wants Brad Pitt and Jennifer Lawrence to star, with shooting in 2018.
“Script details are fuzzy,” THR said, “but one of the stories centers on Sharon Tate, the actress and wife of director Roman Polanski who was murdered by Manson and his followers in 1969.”
But one “insider” told THR that Lawrence is not considering the Tate role.
Early reaction to the potential project:
The mere suggestion of a Tarantino movie about Charles Manson is one of the most interesting movie things I have ever in my life heard.

“Tarantino doing true-crime” has been one of the great industry wish-dreams since he first appeared. If this is real, could be AMAZING.

Tarantino’s gonna cast himself as Charles Manson just so he can say the N word as much as humanly possible.

I don’t know much in this life, but I do know that whatever story Tarantino is passionate about telling is something to look forward to.
