“Lady Bird” star Saoirse Ronan will be honored at the Palm Springs International Film Festival, organizers announced Monday.

The 23-year-old Irish actress will receive the Desert Palm Achievement Award for her role as Christine “Lady Bird” McPherson in the coming-of- age story that examines a strong-willed teenager’s relationship with her mother.

The two-time Academy Award nominee was the festival’s International Star Award honoree in 2016 for her role in “Brooklyn.”

“Saoirse Ronan delivers one of the most outstanding performances of this year as an outspoken high school student growing up in Sacramento in the critically acclaimed film `Lady Bird,”‘ festival Chairman Harold Matzner said. “Following her exceptional performances in `Atonement’ and `Brooklyn,’ Ronan is sure to receive her third Academy Award nomination.”

Previous Desert Palm Achievement Award winners include Natalie Portman, Cate Blanchett, Julianne Moore, Sandra Bullock, Halle Berry, Marion Cotillard, Anne Hathaway, Charlize Theron and Naomi Watts.

The 29th annual festival runs from Jan. 4-15, and the awards gala is set for Jan. 2 at the Palm Springs Convention Center.

Previously announced honorees include Holly Hunter, Allison Janney, Timothee Chalamet, Gal Gadot, Gary Oldman, Sam Rockwell and the cast and crew of “The Shape of Water.”
