Minnie’s will be the 2,627th star on the Walk of Fame, and it will be in the category of Motion Pictures, honoring her 90th anniversary in the entertainment business. She made her debut in the 1928 Disney classic, “Steamboat Willie.”
She will join other Disney characters who already have stars on the walk: Donald Duck, Tinker Bell, Winnie the Pooh and Snow White. Mickey Mouse received his star on the Walk of Fame in 1978, marking his 50th year in show business.
Other fictional characters honored on the Walk of Fame include Big Bird, Godzilla, Bugs Bunny, Woody Woodpecker, Kermit the Frog and The Simpsons.
