Two suspects stole one-of-a-kind jewelry Friday from an SUV parked behind a high-end Beverly Hills pawn shop.
The afternoon burglary, which was caught on surveillance video, occurred as a buyer preparing for a private showing was inside The Dina Collection for about two minutes, the shop’s owner Yossi Dina, told ABC7.
One of the suspects broke a window of the Jeep Wrangler, which was parked in a back alley, and took from a front seat a bag containing diamonds and other jewels, including many one-of-a-kind pieces, while the buyer was inside the shop in the 200 block of South Beverly Drive, Dina told the station.
As many as 50 pieces were stolen, ABC7 reported.
“It’s very unique and one-of-a-kind,” Dina said. “Like if anyone would have it, we would know it belongs to us. It would be very hard to sell the stuff. It would be much better to make a deal with us and I am willing to buy it back.”
Dina declined to give an estimated value for the stolen items — which included David Webb, Tiffany and Bvlgari pieces — but told ABC7 he is willing to pay $25,000 for their return.
The shop is featured on the Reelz television show “Beverly Hills Pawn.”
