A 54-year-old Fresno man died after being hit by a car while walking on Disneyland Drive, and a La Mirada woman was arrested on suspicion of gross vehicular manslaughter while intoxicated and driving under the influence of alcohol/drugs causing bodily injury, police said Sunday.
Stefanie Lyn Bieser of La Mirada, 47, was booked at the Anaheim Detention Facility on a $100,000 bail.
The accident occurred at 11:04 p.m. Saturday on Disneyland Drive north of Katella Avenue. The victim was walking south on Disneyland Drive when a 2007 Chrysler PT Cruiser going north on Disneyland Drive jumped the curb, struck a pole and an electrical box, then hit the man, said Sgt. Daron Wyatt, a public information officer with the Anaheim Police Department.
The man sustained major injuries and was taken to UC Irvine Medical Center where he was pronounced dead, Wyatt said. His name is being withheld pending notification of next of kin.
Northbound Disneyland Drive was closed at Katella Avenue while the investigation continues.
