Actor Rick Schroder was arrested Wednesday on suspicion of domestic violence for the second time in the last month, authorities said.
Schroder, 49, was booked on suspicion of domestic violence after deputies went to a residence in the 21900 block of Gold Stone Road about 12:45 a.m., according to the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department.
Bail was set at $50,000, and Schroder was released at 9:10 a.m., the sheriff’s department reported.
Deputies went to the residence on a report of a possible domestic violence incident.
“When deputies arrived, they made contact with the suspect and the victim,” a sheriff’s statement said. “They also identified evidence of a physical altercation.”
The woman’s name was not released, nor was information on the nature of the relationship between the pair. She declined medical treatment, the sheriff’s department reported.
“On April 2, at approximately 12:26 a.m., a similar incident occurred between suspect Schroder and the victim at the same residence,” the sheriff’s statement said.
At that time, Schroder was arrested on suspicion of domestic violence, and he was released on bond, the sheriff’s department reported.
Schroder is best known for playing Ricky Stratton on the 1980s sitcom “Silver Spoons,” and later for a starring role on the television series “NYPD Blue.”
