Admission to the Anne Frank exhibit at the Museum of Tolerance will be free Wednesday on the 90th anniversary of her birth.

The exhibit tells Frank’s story in her own words through rare artifacts, unique documents and photographs. It highlights little known facts about her time in hiding in the secret annex of a building in Amsterdam and the events that led to her arrest.

The exhibit includes a facsimile of her diary, original pen-pal letters between Anne and a girl from Iowa, her original autograph album and period movie memorabilia.

Holocaust survivors will speak to museum guests at noon and 1 p.m. The exhibit opens at 10 a.m. with the last admittance at 5:30 p.m.

“Anne, A New Play,” based on her diary, will make its U.S. premiere run at the museum Sunday through July 22. It does away with traditional sets and has a multi-cultural cast in an effort to underscore the fact that the people portrayed are real people.
