Anaheim city attorneys are considering whether to file charges against members of a family who got into a brawl at Disneyland that is making the rounds on social media, a police spokesman said.
The fight, chiefly among four people in the family, broke out Saturday evening in Toontown and sprawled out onto Main Street in the famous theme park, Anaheim Police Sgt. Daron Wyatt said.
Disneyland security called police, who arrived as the fight had broken up, Wyatt said.
“They were all uncooperative and didn’t want anything done, and we didn’t have the luxury of viewing and video at that time so we wrote a report to document” the incident, Wyatt said.
After cell phone video of the fight was posted on Facebook on Sunday night, police assigned the case to detectives who were meeting with city attorneys on the possibility of filing charges such as misdemeanor child endangerment or fighting in public, Wyatt said.
One part of the video appears to show a man striking a woman several times.
“Any type of violence is inexcusable and will not be tolerated,” Disneyland spokeswoman Liz Jaeger said. “Those involved were immediately removed from the premises and turned over to the Anaheim Police Department.”
