A woman was hospitalized in critical condition Saturday after being struck by a Red Line train near Universal Studios, authorities said.
It was reported at 3:51 p.m. at 3901 North Lankershim Blvd., said LA Metro spokesman Rick Jager.
The woman was seen walking on the platform before the westbound train from downtown Los Angeles to North Hollywood came through the station and she was found injured on the tracks, Jager said.
She was taken to Cedars-Sinai Medical Center, in Los Angeles, he said.
The westbound track was shut down for the investigation, Jager said. Trains will continue service temporarily on a single track.
