Metro will soon begin an online video campaign aimed at encouraging more people with disabilities to use public transit, transportation agency officials said Wednesday.
The videos are scheduled to be released before the end of the year and will include “vignettes” about transit riders with disabilities, as well as a general guide to Metro’s accessibility features and resources.
The videos — to be available in English and Spanish — will be posted on Metro.com under the section titled “Riders with Disabilities.” Videos in additional languages are also planned.
The videos will also be shown at various events, such as the Abilities Expo in February.
Metro officials estimate about 100,000 wheelchair boardings each month.
