Friday, Nov. 25

Hollywood Sign Hike (fitness): Enjoy a 6.2 miles round-trip hike and see the Hollywood Sign. The group will meet at 7 a.m. at the Griffith Park Observatory parking lot, 2800 E. Observatory Road, Los Angeles.

Lighting of the Bay (festival): Holiday songs will be performed by the Corona Del Mar High School’s chorale group and OC Children’s Song group. Then Santa flip the switch and turn on over 50 floating electric Christmas trees and holiday decorations that will illuminate the Back Bay every night through the end of the year. Newport Dunes Waterfront Resort, 1131 Back Bay Drive, Newport Beach.

Pancake Run (fitness): Work off all that turkey and mashed potatoes with the Pancake Run. After the 3-mile course you can enjoy some pancakes. You can RSVP here. Fleet Feet Sports, 1516 W. Magnolia Blvd., Burbank.

Saturday, Nov. 26

The Terminator (screening): Come watch a screening of the hit `The Terminator’ at the Electric Dusk Drive-In. You can get your tickets here for $14. The screening starts at 9 p.m. 2930 Fletcher Drive and San Fernando Road, Los Angeles.

Dance for Standing Rock (fundraiser): 100% of our proceeds will go to Standing Rock protectors against the North Dakota Pipeline. Get your tickets at the door for $20. The music and dancing starts at 9 p.m. in Downtown Los Angeles on Fifth St.

Krampus Talk with Costume Catwalk (books): Come join a discussion about Krampus and explore rare video clips and costumes from Krampus Los Angeles. You can get your tickets here for $10. Goethe-Institut, 5750 Wilshire Blvd., Los Angeles.

Sunday, Nov. 27

Christmas Parade and Festival (festival): One of the largest and longest running Christmas parades focused on the Latino community will be held, featuring floats, marching bands, equestrian units, and celebrity guests . The parade will start at noon on Whittier Blvd. in East Los Angeles.

Wildlife Safari Extravaganza (tasting): Join America’s Teaching Zoo for a family-friendly 105-minute wildlife safari. You’ll have the opportunity to get up close with badgers, porcupine, and a coati mundi. Get your tickets here for $75. The safari starts at 10 a.m. at Malibu Wine Safaris, 32111 Mulholland Hwy., Malibu.

Patchwork (festival): Come shop homemade and local artists goods alongside artisan food, DIY craft workshops, gourmet food trucks and music. The event starts at 11 a.m. at CSUF Grand Central Art Center, 125 N. Broadway, Santa Ana.

Evening Meditation (wellness): Decompress from the holiday weekend with a group meditation. The event is free but a $15 donation is encouraged. Metiation starts at 5 p.m. at The Crystal Matrix, 3215 Glendale Blvd., Los Angeles.
