All northbound lanes of the 101 Freeway will be closed from 1 a.m. to 5 a.m. for three days this week in parts of the San Fernando Valley, Caltrans officials announced Monday.
The closures, which will not affect the 101’s southbound lanes, are as follows:
— Tuesday, between Balboa Boulevard and Reseda Boulevard;
— Wednesday, between Reseda and Winnetka Avenue;
— Thursday, between Winnetka and Tampa Avenue.
The closures were ordered so workers can install loop detectors in the roadway as part of a $62 million pavement rehabilitation project. Signs will be posted to inform drivers about the closures and point out detour routes, according to Caltrans.
