A man was killed Friday when the car he was driving collided with a big rig on the southbound Antelope Valley (14) Freeway in Santa Clarita.
California Highway Patrol officers were dispatched at about 12:15 a.m. to the southbound lanes of the freeway, just north of the Golden Valley Road exit and discovered a car had crashed into a big rig, according to Officer Patrick Kimball.
The driver was pronounced dead at the scene about 12:30 a.m by Los Angeles County Fire Department paramedics, Kimball said.
An investigation into the accident is underway.
No other injuries were reported.
