Los Angeles County lifeguards on land and rescue boat crews in the water saved a sailboat that began taking on water Monday off Dockweiler Beach, authorities said.
The incident was reported just before 10 p.m. when the Los Angeles County Fire Department lifeguards tweeted that the vessel was taking on water off Dockweiler Beach but is now aground.” No injuries were reported to the people on board.
Lifeguards on the ground and rescue boat crews pulled the vessel back out to sea where it was towed to safety, the lifeguards tweeted.
