An autopsy was pending Monday on a 16-year-old Whittier girl who died after she was discovered unresponsive on the lawn of an apartment complex.
She was Aleya Solorzano, coroner’s Lt. Larry Dietz said.
Deputies and paramedics responded to a medical assistance call at 8:22 p.m. Friday in the 13400 block of Meyer Road, Deputy Tracy Koerner of the Sheriff’s Information Bureau said.
They found the girl and she was taken to a hospital where she was pronounced dead, Koerner said.
Witnesses told ABC7 they saw a vehicle pull up, then two people got out and place the girl on the lawn in front of the apartment complex.
Koerner described the death as “suspicious.”
