Repairs to a pothole in the No.1 lane of the westbound Pomona (60) Freeway in Montebello prompted the closure of three lanes of the freeway Friday morning until at least 6 a.m.
The pothole was first reported about 8:30 p.m. Thursday near the Garfield Avenue exit and the Nos. 1 and 2 lanes of the freeway were closed about 10 p.m. and the No. 3 lane was closed just before midnight, according to the California Highway Patrol.
The lanes were scheduled to reopen by 5 a.m., but the CHP extended the SigAlert at 4:45 a.m. to last until 6 a.m.
