A person was injured this evening in a crash involving a car that spun out of control on the Ventura (101) Freeway near Laurel Canyon Boulevard.
Authorities initially received a call about a vehicle that spun out of control and hit a divider on the westbound Ventura Freeway off-ramp near Laurel Canyon Boulevard about 8 p.m., according to Officer Patrick Kimball of the California Highway Patrol and Brian Humphrey of the Los Angeles Fire Department.
A few minutes later, it was reported as a two-vehicle crash, involving a red Ford Mustang and a Ford Fusion, Kimball said.
One person reported pain and requested an ambulance, according to Kimball. The person’s age and gender were not available.
All lanes were open by 8:50 p.m., but the freeway’s westbound off-ramp at Laurel Canyon Road remained closed, Kimball said.
