A big rig lost hay bales Wednesday morning on the northbound Golden State (5) Freeway in Gorman and another big rig crashed into them, prompting the closure of all four northbound lanes of the freeway until further notice.
The accident occurred near state Route 138 about 3:05 a.m., according to the California Highway Patrol.
A semi carrying hay bales lost some of its load and a big rig crashed into them, blocking the Nos. 3 and 4 lanes, the CHP said.
A SigAlert was issued about 4:15 a.m. for the all northbound lanes of the Golden State Freeway near state Route 138 until further notice, the CHP said.
Paramedics were called to the scene but it was unclear if anyone was hurt.
