A three-vehicle crash injured three people and killed another Sunday evening on the southbound Harbor (110) Freeway near downtown Los Angeles, according to the Los Angeles Fire Department.
The crash on the 110 Freeway near Ninth Street happened about 9:05 p.m., said fire department spokeswoman Margaret Stewart.
The deceased man was identified as a 30-year-old man, Stewart said. Initially, he was listed in grave condition but succumbed to his injuries, she said. His name was withheld pending notification of next of kin.
One person was listed in fair condition and the other two injured people declined LAFD treatment and transport, Stewart said.
All lanes but one were temporarily shut down. It was not immediately known long the lanes would remain closed.
A SigAlert was declared by the California Highway Patrol at 10 p.m.
The crash was being investigated by the CHP.
