The coroner’s office Saturday released the name of a teenage girl killed in a Pomona apartment fire that left another girl in critical condition.

Thay Hung Leyva, 17, died at the scene from “thermal injuries and inhalation of products of combustion,” the coroner’s office said.

Nearly two dozen firefighters were sent to the 1100 block of East Franklin Avenue about 10:35 a.m. Thursday, according to the Los Angeles County Fire Department.

The girls were trapped in their bedroom, with the front door blocked by fire and the windows blocked by furniture and an exterior mounted window A/C unit, according to fire officials.

The name of the critically injured girl was not released.

A woman suffered minor injuries and was taken to a hospital for treatment, according to the fire department.

The relationship of the three was not disclosed.
