Firefighters coordinated a multi-pronged attack battling flames in an apartment fire in Van Nuys Sunday, but no injuries were reported.
The two-story structure at 9800 N. Vesper Ave. caught fire at 2:25 a.m., according to Margaret Stewart, a Los Angeles Fire Department spokesperson.
Video from a Citizen news app user showed smoke pouring from the building while area residents — including at least with bare feet — looked on.
A dog is seen pawing at one onlooker, who picks up the canine as a firefighter approaches the building. Moments later, liquid shoots up and away from the apartment complex.
Firefighters announced the fire was a knockdown at 3:03 a.m.
The cause of the blaze was under investigation.
