A civilian suffered a minor burn injury and two other people sustained unspecified injuries in a five-acre brush fire Sunday in the Angeles National Forest.

The fire broke out near State Route 39 at Mile Marker 31, according to the U.S. Forest Service.

Los Angeles County firefighters and paramedics were dispatched to the location at 11:34 a.m. and reported a civilian had suffered a minor burn injury and two other people had unknown type injuries, according to a dispatcher.

The U.S. Forest Service tweeted at 12:46 p.m. that the forward rate of spread of the fire had been stopped and crews were laying a hose around the fire, holding it at five acres.
