A 15-year-old boy was airlifted to a hospital Saturday after he injured his wrist and shoulder mountain biking in the Santa Monica Mountains near Encino.
The crash was reported at 5:55 p.m. around 17500 Mulholland Drive, according to the Los Angeles Fire Department’s Brian Humphrey.
The boy was injured on or near the Jedi Jumps mountain bike trail, a remote section of the Santa Monica Mountains, Humphrey said.
Paramedics stabilized the patient before he was carried to an awaiting helicopter for transport, he said.
