A 23-year-old woman was hoisted to safety by a Los Angeles Fire Department helicopter Saturday after she suffered heat exhaustion in a remote area of Runyon Canyon Park.
The rescue was reported at 4:14 p.m. on a remote trail of the park at 2000 N. Fuller Ave., said the LAFD’s Brian Humphrey.
“She will soon be hoisted aboard a hovering LAFD helicopter for in-flight care by LAFD Flight Paramedics during direct transport to an area hospital,” Humphrey said.
