A fire damaged a vacant commercial building in the Hollywood area Monday, but no one was hurt.

Crews were sent to the 500 block of North Western Avenue about 10:15 a.m. and extinguished the flames in the single-story building in 26 minutes, the Los Angeles Fire Department reported.

The cause of the fire was under investigation.
