A speeding motorcyclist was injured Saturday evening after crashing into a car while being pursued by the California Highway Patrol.
The pursuit began when officers tried to stop the speeding motorcycle at 5:04 p.m. on Pacific Coast Highway at Kanan Dume Road, said CHP Officer Stephan Brandt.
The motorcycle crashed at 5:07 p.m. on northbound PCH at Morning View Drive, Brandt said.
Pictures posted on social media by deputies from the Lost Hills Sheriff’s Station showed the front of the motorcycle destroyed after crashing into the left front of a white BMW sedan.
The motorcyclist was taken by paramedics to a hospital for treatment of injuries, Brandt said. The severity of those injuries was not immediately available.
