A semi overturned and spilled its load of plywood Wednesday morning on the transition road from the westbound San Bernardino (10) Freeway to the northbound Hollywood (101) Freeway in downtown Los Angeles, prompting the closure of a stretch of the freeway until further notice.
The crash was reported at about 4:25 a.m. and plywood was in all lanes, according to the California Highway Patrol.
The transition road was closed until further notice and traffic was being taken off the westbound San Bernardino Freeway at Mission Road in Boyle Heights.
At 8:55 a.m. Cantrans District 7 tweeted that the big rig had been turned upright but that the transition remained closed while the plywood was being picked up.
Details of what led up to the crash were not disclosed.
No injuries were immediately reported.
